Notability
[edit]WP:NSONGS states that a song may be notable by Wikipedia standards if it Has been ranked on national or significant music or sales charts
. RIAA is listed at WP:GOODCHARTS and this song's certification can be used to establish notability. My "stub" rating only determines the quality of the article, not whether it should be included. Please avoid WP:BITING a new editor, especially one who clearly wants to help. You may always start an AfD discussion if you wish, but please don't WP:BLAR again without discussion. - The important word is "may". It may be included. The word "may" implies that it also "may not". "May" is a possible, not a guarantee.
- But before we even get to the Gold Certification found at the bottom of that section, we must first get past the top section which states two important parts -
- The first one is - "articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album."
- This article is a stub about a two year old song. It is unlikely that anything new is going to be said about the song to expand the article. Which, to me, means it should be redirected.
- And the second one is - "A standalone article about a song should satisfy the above criteria."
- The way it is written, an article must meet the above criteria before we can continue with the criteria below. The criteria below is what you are quoting (RIAA Gold). Gold status alone doesn't qualify because the above hasn't been met first.
- The article itself uses one reference (I am not counting iTunes and Youtube), and that is the RIAA. There are no posted references about the song. There aren't even any about the album. Speaking of the album, it is currently an AFD. We can make the article better, but making it better doesn't mean it meets the criteria.

- I don't think this is
unlikely ever
to grow beyond a stub. The current state of the article does not determine its potential. And precisely because the EP may not be notable, there is no suitable merger target. - The Português version is a WP:GA. Which means there are a lot of things to add to this article to make it notable, don't forget that is the most known track of this singer, and the music video has more than 87,000,000 views. - MUST BE Love on the Brain. 05:07, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- Translate that into English. Post it. And then I probably wouldn't have an issue with it. But if you look at the current ad, notability worthy of an article hasn't been established. Kellymoat (talk) 19:08, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
