Bobby Blotzer

I've heard somewhere that Bobby Blotzer of Ratt fame played in an early version of Dokken, but I'm not confident of the accuracy of this enough to add it to the article.

Of course, Juan Croucier was in Dokken before Ratt (I'm not getting the 2 of them confused). Gringo300 00:47, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Mick Mars

Wasn't Mick Mars (of Mötley Crüe) an early member of Dokken as well?

No, he wasn't. (He was in Spiders and Cowboys)

Mikkey Dee

So when Mikkey Dee (Motorhead deity though he is) says he was "with" Dokken, he means the solo project of Don Dokken and not this band? 193.238.233.2 14:45, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Dance remake?

I have decided to remove the following trivia bit, as I believe the person who stated this was confused, thinking of Real McCoy's "Another Night" 90's dance track. I'll post the bit I removed anyway, just in case it finds a citation.

• The Dokken hit "In My Dreams" was re-recorded by a female dance artist many years later, who scored a hit with it. Lunis Neko 02:59, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

NPOV?

The intro paragraph reads like something off a fan site rather than an encyclopedia, trying to defend the band against being categorized with other 80's "hair metal" bands. Can we come up with something better here? And something cited, rather than just opinion? DragonsDream (talk) 00:39, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

The rest of the article is poorly written as well. It had {refimprove} tag but nothing was ever dome to add references for the numerous unref'd facts in the article. Further reading showed it was extremely "written like a 14 year" styled and if it were a school book report (which is what it reads like) it would get a D. My guess is that the article will be visited by fanboys who will remove the maintenance templates without actually working to improve the article.... which will just get them warned and eventually blocked... and then the article will sit just as fanboyish as it was 5 months ago. Glam metal

One of the genres of the band in this article is glam metal. I totally agree with the three genres of this article. However, none of the articles on the band's albums have glam metal among the genres. I think it should be included there too. FateForger (talk) 14:24, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Well, they didn't really adopt the full hair metal look until Under Lock And Key which IMO, was their only true hair metal/pop-metal album, though it did feature some more classic metal songs like Lightning Strikes Again, Unchain The Night and Til The Livin End. They were more like an American Scorpions, IMO than a hair metal band ala Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt ect. --RandyRhoadsRonnieDio (talk) 16:00, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Glam metal does not refer to the look of the band but refers to pop influenced commercial 80s style hard rock/heavy metal such as bands like Dokken. Jamcad01 (talk) 10:16, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Jon Levin
