Ustaše massacres of 1941

[edit]

There is this statement in the article: ... the government-in-exile awarded Jevđević the Star of Karađorđe in early 1943 for his services to the Serbian population during the Ustaše massacres of 1941 ... Do the sources say more on these services? If they do, it should be included in the article, probably somewhere at the beginning of the section "World War II". The short answer is no, there is no information I have seen except around the award. My assumption is that he put together armed groups to oppose the Ustase and protect villages in his area, but I haven't found a source for it. I'll keep looking, of course.
