Gigantti (Dixons Finland) Start Selling Kitchens

Planning and selling kitchen units etc, as a competitor to Ikea's corner of the market. Anyone know if any of the other DSG regions are doing or planning on doing the same. I intend to edit the intro para to better reflect the key brands for Dixons Retail, both in the UK & Ireland, and mainland Europe. ie: Knowhow (for UK and Ireland) Elkjop (as the umbrella brand for our Nordic business) Kotsovolos (Greece) Markwebb dixons (talk) 16:16, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Update to recent history

I propose to update the company history of the company since 2000 to reflect key events which are missing. I intend to do this gradually (and to flag each time) as I am new to this and don't want to overstep the mark. I propose to: - mention the acquisition of Kotsovolos (2000), leading Greek electricals retailer - add comment re Eldorado group as we did not pursue this partnership (I am trying to relocate source but we no longer have any connection with them) - Note launch of 'Renewal and Transformation Plan' in 2008. (Core to the turnaround of the company) - Note renaming of the plc to Dixons Retail in 2010 - Note launch of Knowhow (end-to-end service brand, unifying all areas of after sales support in 2011 - erase the mention of redundancies in Nottingham. Plenty of other redundancies - and indeed job creations and relocations have occurred, and it is not appropriate to single this out.
