This article on Wikipedia would be accurate if the researchers would consult Malcolm H. Harris, Old New Kent County, etc., Vol.I, pp. 486-87. I know, Dixon is not in New Kent County, but its owner, William Meredith, dating from 1744, was. Hence, in a discussion of the Meredith Family. you will find accurate info re Dixon Plantation on the Mattapony River.
