Image of member
[edit]Added good image of current member here. User:Frickeg removed it almost immediately here. I didn't realise Frickeg owned these articles. Not that they're that busy anyway, but seems eminently logical to me to include an image of the sitting MP in an article about the Electoral Division, especially when he is mentioned five times in the article. Opinions? --jjron (talk) 15:28, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
- Please don't throw WP:OWN at me just because I disagreed with something you did. Any user has every right to remove something they disagree with, and then you start a discussion, as you have done here. I'll also notify WT:AUP, since as you said this page isn't very busy. I agree that the image is a good one (well done), and it certainly helps with articles on Chester himself and on the by-election. This page, though, is about the seat, which is a political entity, and is not about Chester at all (and three of those mentions are in standard tables). In relation to Gippsland itself, it seemed to me that an image of Chester was not particularly relevant (a bit like including a map of Gippsland in Chester's article), but I'm open to being convinced on the matter. - Frickeg is correct. We do not add a good photo of every sitting MP to their seat division. It belongs on their biography article, not their seat article. Timeshift (talk) 22:46, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
