"Dividers" is redirected to "division" and I believe it should not. "Dividers" is what the darfting compass (instrument with two points which can measure distances on the chart) is called in nautical navigation. I have added that explanation in "division" but I believe "dividers should have its own page. As I am new and do not know how to do it or even if I should I just post the suggestion here. "Navigational_instruments" mentions dividers but I would not link to "division" but rather to the "beam_compass".—Preceding unsigned comment added by GS3 (talkcontribs) 09:39, 1 January 2007

Add Political Division as Process??

[edit]

It would read: Division (politics), the process of separating political entities

It would link to Partition (politics). No problems, I'll do it. Carol Moore 23:00, 17 October 2007 (UTC)User:Carolmooredc User talk:Carolmooredc

Just noticed there WAS a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_%28country_subdivision%29 that somehow disappeared and will put back.

Proposal to Move to Division (disambiguation)

[edit]

A proposal had been made at Talk:Division (mathematics) to rename this page as a disambiguation, and move the mathematical sense here. The discussion can be viewed and commented upon there. -Ramzuiv (talk) 02:38, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
