Aren't there other reasons for distortion?

- I created this article primarily with the AX6E1 configuration to mind because the majority of them violate the VSEPR-predicted structure of pentagonal pyramidal. I guess Jahn-Teller distortion is described under the Jahn-Teller effect article. Perhaps a brief mention of it could be made here. As for confacial octahedra, I'm afraid I don't have enough expertise to know what that is LOL sorry about that.--Officer781 (talk) 15:08, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
