[edit]Lacking a definition "An isolator switch is part of an electrical circuit and is most often found in industrial applications" if possible, can somebody please provide a more detailed definition than this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.198.200.71 (talk • contribs) 21 May 2009
Saying "an isolator is an off-load device, whereas a circuit breaker is an on-load device" is not useful without explaining or linking the bolded terms. This page is the top hit for "isolator switch" on Google but fails to provide a simple layman's explanation of how such a switch differs from (e.g.) a standard light switch. So is an isolation switch the same as a emergency stop button usually found on industrial arts equipment ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.27.144.91 (talk) 03:08, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Disconnect switch
[edit]The disconnect switch is a different object of disconnect so the paragraph can be deleted or moved. Moreover information on reliability is completely not linked to technical documentation that can prove that the sentence is true. Steel978g (talk) 16:32, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
