Fair use rationale for Image:MichaelCrighton Disclosure.jpg
[edit]Image:MichaelCrighton Disclosure.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Major Themes (background).
[edit]I would like to know more about the "real" story this is based on. With some creative modification, it closely resembles events I personally experienced in 1989/1990. I am a man who was sexually harassed by a woman who was a more senior co-worker at a government agency we worked for together. At one point, she was put in charge of reviewing our work (my other co-workers and I). In addition to my civil service job, I was also working on a master's degree in computer science at the time. I can prove my claim because I was granted a restraining order in 1990 from the California Superior Court. Changing the employer from government to private sector, etc., are trivial changes in this context. However, I have never met nor communicated with Mr. Crichton.
Does anyone know where Mr. Crichton got his story? Could he have come across my court filings? 67.235.28.143 (talk) 05:00, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
Edited Major Themes
[edit]Added a NPOV tag due to editorializing language [i.e. the phrase not surprisingly]. The section reads more as an agenda-driven defense of Michael Crichton than as an objective discussion of the book's themes. Ileolai (talk) 23:31, 7 October 2016 (UTC)
- Looks like there has been some editing since the tag went up, no longer appears to be NPOV so I am going to remove the tag. If anyone strongly disagrees feel free to revert me and discuss here. Greyjoy talk 12:42, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
