Speedy Deletion
[edit]There is very little content on this page, And most of it may be made up, Since no one knows what the ride will be like yet.--5VH9 (talk) 14:32, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Christmas Eve Opening
[edit]So they're opening Disaster! on Christmas Eve? Are you sure of this? It dosen't say anything about this on Universal's Orlando website.--Universal Studios Number 1 Fan (talk) 14:11, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
If the Christmas Eve rumor is true, Then the attraction should be opening today or tonight. If there are any users going to Universal Studios Florida today, Please report back whether the ride is opening today or not.--Universal Studios Number 1 Fan (talk) 14:29, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
False Information
[edit]There is way too much false information floating on this page--everything from the storyline to the shops and stores around it is false. I'm going to fix this... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.100.230.240 (talk) 23:13, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

There is much information posted about this attraction that is completely, completely way off from the actual truth--for example, the entire storyline of the preshow, and the surrounding area of the attraction. I'll make some changes, including: -Storyline: Not only is it poorly written and gramatically wrong in many places, but it goes off into small little details that either A)Don't exist, or B)Ruin the attraction for people who may actually want to see it. -Surrounding Area: There are no gift shops surrounding Disaster. There are no flags around San Francisco/Amity promoting Disaster Studios. There is no statue of Frank Kincaid at the exit. There is no Disaster Studios Eats restaurant...It just needs to be cleaned up...big time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcyouknow (talk) 13:02, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Article title
[edit]This article title sounds like spam to me. Does anyone object to moving the article to Disaster! (motion picture ride) SpinningSpark 16:18, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- The current title is NOT a spam. It's Universal's official title for the ride if you look on their website. Also Disaster! (major motion picture ride) dosen't really sound like a proper title to me.--Snowman Guy (talk) 16:26, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- What about Disaster (ride)?--72.91.191.67 (talk) 01:35, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Poll: Article's Title
[edit]What do you think this article's title should be? Disaster!: A Major Motion Picture Ride...Starring You!, Disaster (ride), Disaster! Major Motion Picture Ride, Universal's Disaster! Disaster (ride)
[edit]72.91.191.67 (talk) 22:42, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Where I would come from is this: what are people likely to type into the search box? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be "Disaster!: A Major Motion Picture Ride...Starring You!". Even if they were to try it I would say they would most likely not get it right with correct capitalisation and punctuation. Most likely to be typed in my opinion (willing to be proved wrong if someone wants to come up with some Google search term statistics or similar) are "Disaster" followed by "Disaster!". I propose the main title as "Disaster (ride)", an entry on the Disaster (disambiguation) page (as there already is) and a redirect to the article from "Disaster!". Have a redirect from the full title too if you like just in case someone does succeed in typing it. Regarding my comment about the title being spammy above. I agree that it is the official title of the ride, but are we going to write any old piece of advertising blurb in our encyclopedia just because the service provider has made it the official title - I think the spammers would have a field dday if that ever became official policy. Also, I notice that even Universal in their brochure shorten the name to "Disaster!" in the text. SpinningSpark 19:01, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. I'll move the page to Disaster (ride) if it is alright with other editors.--Snowman Guy (talk) 16:10, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I took a look and saw that the name "Disaster!" is not used. I believe that would be a better short-form title, with redirects for "Disaster (ride)" and for the full name, which I think most people won't use. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 21:57, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Disaster! Major Motion Picture Ride

[edit]Attraction operations
[edit]I undid the edits made saying that Disaster! would be going to a seasonal operating schedule. Universal has made no such statements, or at least none in the media. The rumors I have heard, on the other hand, have stated that the show will actually run daily, but with fewer shows per day. This makes sense actually; maybe opening at 11am instead of 9am, running two shows an hour until closing (I think they run 3 or 4 now per hour). Again, this much is still rumor. Until something verifiable is posted, no mention needs to be made. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 17:35, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Dark Torment?
[edit]Did any of you guys know that Dark Torment combined this attraction with a haunted house, thus making it a unique experience? I personally would love it if footage of it were discovered, even if it's unlikely. BoiaBoiaMans (talk) 09:25, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
