Can we unprotect this page now?
[edit]I'm responding to a request by Ian on my talk page. He mentions that discussions have started and there's merit in unprotecting this pages. I seem to be agreeing with him. Yet, I'll await responses here over the next few hours before unprotecting. Thanks. Wifione Message 13:59, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- I just looked at Ian's Fabb proposal, and I have no BLP issue with it. Two things, though. First, not as many other editors have commented on it as did on the Tate proposal, probably because it didn't appear on this page and because the BLPN pointer just popped up (wasn't there last night while I was logged on). We might want to wait a bit for comments. Second, I'd reverse the order of the sentence about the similarity to the Tate disappearance. I'd word it, "The case of Genette Tate, who disappeared while riding a bike in Aylesbeare, Devon in 1978, is very similar to this case." The reason is the Tate case is later. It's a bit like saying a mother resembles her child instead of saying a child resembles the mother. The latter makes more sense. You might also consider adding an introductor phrase, "According to the police, ... --Bbb23 (talk) 15:51, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- No BLP issues equate to unprotection. So unprotected. Ask me for any future assistance. Kind regards. Wifione Message 03:52, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
I'm happy to go ahead with the new version of this page. Best regards, David David J Johnson (talk) 10:43, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
