Prod

- I had thought to replace closed symmetric form by closed form symmetric form, but I'm not sure of the meaning of closed in this context.--Salix (talk): 12:25, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
I momentarily thought that "form" meant differential form and "closed" meant its differential is 0, but then I realized it said it's on L2 spaces. So something more like symmetric bilinear forms seems more likely to have been intended. Dirichlet forms are supposed to correspond to Markov chains. This article certainly doesn't explain that. Context
[edit]For some time now, I've been adding context to many Wikipedia articles. For Dirichlet form it's been a challenge to clarify exactly how this fits into the vast field of mathematics.
