  • Comment: I am a new user, but I would have thought that most of these are independent sources - the ARPAE wrote the comments independently of Dioxide materials, ABC choose to interview us, PCworld had a long article about Dioxide Materials' technology (I guess that they did not say that clearly), Biofuels digest is a well respected trade journal that has no connection to dioxide materials, I would have thought that Press releases put out by someone other than Dioxide Materials, in this case the american association for advancement of science, are independent. Hoovers is not a dead link. They are owned by Dunn & Bradstreet, and are one of the leading sources of business information. A login is required to access. And there are all of the other references. • Comment: I agree that this was inserted to prove notability, and should be removed in the final draft. But the posted guidelines for inclusion say that a page should be accepted if it is notable even if it needs substantial editing. I am new to this and agree that editing is needed but that is not a reason to reject Maselrich (talk) 20:00, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: A random sampling of sources suggests that the draft is entirely based on sources that are not independent, not reliable, or not significant coverage. The bulk of any article should be based on independent sources.
    * 1 - ARPA-E is a funder of Dioxide Materials, and the text appears to have been supplied by Rich Masel, the founder and CEO of Dioxide Materials, so not independent
    * 3 - the company website is not independent
    * 10 - search results lists are unsuitable references, in part because they are not stable
    * 28 - a paper authored by people affiliated with Dioxide Materials is not independent
    * 29 - local ABC affiliate interview with Rich Masel, so not independent
    * 37 - all PC World says about the company is a passing mention that Richard Masel is with the company
    * 43 - Biofuels Digest appears to be a trade journal or perhaps a group blog, not a reliable source
    * 45 - CleanTechnica boasts its content is "for entertainment purposes only", not a reliable source
    * 48 - press releases are not independent
    * 49 - dailyhover is a dead link, not sure what it's supposed to show

  • Comment: You'll need to remove the registered trademark symbols before consideration for creation can advance. The section "independent press coverage" seems like an effort to prove notability, but is not encyclopedic. Chetsford (talk) 17:48, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
