Dinodocus, a nomen dubium

[edit]

Dinodocus was considered to be a junior synonym of Pelorosaurus by McIntosh (1990), but Upchurch et. al. (2004) considered Dinodocus to be a nomen dubium and not really referable to Pelorosaurus. For this reason, Dinodocus should be removed from the Pelorosaurus species list and re-considered a nomen dubium.

Non-titanosauriform affinities

[edit]

Dinodocus is considered a non-titanosauriform macronarian by Mannion et. al. (2013).
