Serial dilution does not equal limiting dilution
[edit]This page (Dilution cloning)currently seems a bit befuddled about the difference between single cell isolation and colony outgrowth by serial dilution (multiple dilutions) or limiting dilution (single dilution). There is also the fact that "cloning" kind of implies something being isolated and give rise to an outgrowth colony (i.e. cells). Would it then also apply to molecules like plasmids? Then there is a collision with the use of "cloning" in molecular biology, so I think the cloning terminology should be avoided.
Given there is already a page on Serial dilution, but not one on Limiting dilution, I propose reworking this page into one on Limiting dilution, and transferring the text, references, & external links currently contained to either Serial dilution or Limiting dilution depending on which technique is actually being used in the sources.
