The Secret Service does not protect members of the U.S. Cabinet; the Cabinet departments each have their own close protection divisions that protect the Cabinet officer. The Secret Service protects the President, Vice President or next-in-line of succession, the President's and Vice President's immediate families, the President-elect and Vice-President-elect and foreign heads of state. They also protect others at the direction of the President or the Secretary of Homeland Security. But they do not protect the U.S. Cabinet. 98.10.165.90 (talk) 15:43, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
