Digital History is Cinderella of History as Social History and Economic History had been in 1960s. Presently it has worked on digitization of libraries and archives which is inter disciplinary activity involving Librarians, computer experts and media people. History as such is construct of historians. Hence, it should not be treated as "a list of accomplishments by professors nobody outside the field knows". It is emerging area of intellectual activity. Thanks to Krakatoa for wikifying it. However, let us keep watch that only those who happens to add to development of the topic may participate. There is a major issue which was taken by Roy in his one article that digital history paradigm may develop a history as influenced by the demands of the people and ultimately the State. Parts of the article are fairly dated and could benefit from additional notation on the field's engagement with Digital Public History over the last five years. Additionally, adding instituions outside of Europe that have incorporated Digital History into Undergrad and MA programs NChapman98 (talk) 22:20, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An excerpt from my article evaluation: All of the information presented in the "History" section reflects the evolution of digital history from a Eurocentric lens; there is no discussion of its use or appearance throughout the rest of the world. If there are not many sources on its use in other places, that should be made clear. The section mentions two different "roots" of digital history, but doesn't differentiate them underneath different subheadings, which is confusing for the reader. The first paragraph serves as a decent overall summary of Digital History, but stops at the early 1990s. More current information is needed. Following the first paragraph, the article refers to many digital history projects; this topic comprises the rest of the section, even though there is a separate section in the article for "Notable Projects". It would make sense to keep the first/biggest projects in the chronology, but others should be moved down to "Notable Projects". The last two paragraphs jump back and forth in time in a confusing way; I think this could be fixed only after heavily editing the number of projects mentioned. In order to make better sense of the "History" section, I suggest adding subheadings for each decade starting from 1960, then adding events underneath their respective location in time. If this suggestion doesn't work well I would maintain that there needs to be further organization. -ObservantOctopus (talk) 01:42, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
