87% of UK population is surely not right when there is no broadcast in N Ireland? Should it be 87% of GB population or something else? Also it might be worth listing the mobile TV stations broadcast on D1 and the bitrates and mono/stereo status of each station Russellelly 21:42, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tried to add in link and reference to page, refering to the closure of Planet Rock and The Jazz, but its not working. Fix?

Birdsong

[edit]

Could we split Birdsong off into a new page? It seems pretty notable: aside from the primary source (which, as we all know, means nothing), we have the Telegraph [1] [2], the Guardian [3], the BBC [4], and the Daily Mirror [5]. That's quite a few reputable news sources (and the Daily Mirror). Splittable? --Islomaniac 973 20:38, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK I've now done this. I've created the new article Birdsong (digital radio channel). I've cut'n'pasted the Birdsong paragraph from this article to that one. However I've also transcluded it here so that this article appears effectively unchanged (apart from the new wikilink added). I'm a listener and fan of Birdsong. But any help appreciated in making that article better! In fact I haven't yet added all of the references you have mentioned. Benkid77 (talk) 16:55, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I chose the terminology "digital radio channel" for the Birdsong article name as that is how it described on the official Digital One web site. But I'm also open to suggestions for alternatives such as "station", "service", "broadcast" or "transmission". Benkid77 (talk) 16:58, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LSF?

[edit]

What does LSF mean? It's used in the table without explanation. 94.197.120.129 (talk) 00:25, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Added a brief explanation to what LSF stands for as a footnote, what its intended use is for DAB and a link to the sampling rate article for detailed information. --tgheretford (talk) 18:59, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
