live performances?

[edit]

Has this song ever been performed live by Daft Punk? Is there a reason why they don't play it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bvanhaun (talkcontribs) 08:26, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

it has not been played live to my knowledge, it is probably due to its lover bpm (~90bp) than most other daft punk songsLegalways (talk) 22:23, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Presumably the quasi-guitar synth solo (which also would have had a lot of engineering added) makes it difficult to perform convincingly in a live situation. That's no fault with the song, it's an excellent track, just a reson why they don't do it live.83.254.151.33 (talk) 11:45, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"guitar solo"?

[edit]

The solo part is clearly NOT a guitar solo, but merely a synth solo styled like a guitar solo. I've read the source article about bringing a solo to dance music, and it does not state that the solo is a guitar solo; the phrase "guitar solo" is deliberately put in quotes to indicate that there's no real guitar playing that solo, but a synth emulating the playing stlye of a guitar. Being bold, I will rephrase the section to reflect this. Edit: I think putting quotes around the guitar solo should do... NCFH (talk) 21:49, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Putting arbitrary quotes around a phrase does not clarify anything if additional context is not provided. Please also note WP:NOR. I'm going ahead and removing the word guitar in light of what the source says. jhsounds (talk) 02:15, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps it should be pointed out that when Bangalter says "no one plays solos on their /studio/ songs anymore" he's clearly talking only of dance tracks, that's what he is referring to. Solos are anything but dead in other kinds of pop and rock music, even on singles, and he certainly knows that. 83.254.151.33 (talk) 10:32, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
