New dating: 1739?
[edit]In the Bach-Jahrbuch 2023, Peter Wollny writes that the cantata was probably not written (as initially assumed) for Rivinus's birthday (July 27), but for his ceremonial appointment as the highest-ranking professor of the Faculty of Law at the University of Leipzig (between 7-12 May 1739).
