Title case vs sentence case
[edit]Why are some titles on here stylized in title case with a note saying they're sentence case on the record, instead of just being sentence cased? I'd be bold and change it sentence case, but I don't even know the reason why it's this way to begin with. Metadata from the publisher?
Also, prepositions like "under" and prepositional adverbs line "while" aren't always capitalized in title casing. So guessing the exact canonical casing isn't easy, unless it's sentence case. Jikybebna (talk) 15:13, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
Is ocean blvd an americana album?
[edit]in the genre section it says that ocean blvd is an Americana album, but if we listen to the album we will see that it is more pop/alt-pop that americana. Folklore06 (talk) 18:58, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- The genres that are entered in the infobox are not decided on the basis of user opinion but on the basis of what is reported in official sources, which are usually articles written by music critics. To include the genre Americana, a source was included in the Composition section. Blueberry72 (talk) 19:41, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Blueberry72. Billboard says muse - a person, or an imaginary being or force that gives someone ideas and helps them to write, paint, or make music. Americana artifacts are related to the history, geography, folklore, and cultural heritage of the United States of America. Americana is any collection of materials and things concerning or characteristic of the United States or of the American people, and is representative or even stereotypical of American culture as a whole. The name Americana also refers to Americana music, a genre of contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American music styles, including country, roots rock, folk, bluegrass, and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots-oriented sound. 2001:D08:2920:B687:17C3:F56A:48F3:D101 (talk) 10:02, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- Since Blueberry won't respond my comment which used by my previous IP 2001:D08:2920:B687:17C3:F56A:48F3:D101.
- @Lil-unique1, Iggy the Swan, and Ss112: Any thoughts in my comment? 183.171.121.111 (talk) 18:02, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- I'm guessing the genres listed would be right, even though I found Pop/RGB in another website I've found. Given I have never edited this article before and have not even heard of this album, I would not know the solution to this problem so it seems I was pinged here randomly or edited other articles relating to other music in the past.
- As to Blueberry's timing of contributions recently, this user has not edited as much as back in March 2024 so that's possibly why there wasn't a response before I was pinged. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 19:32, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
