As this has outstanding cleanup tags (including a neutrality banner), an over-short lead, and was nominated by an editor who hasn't yet worked on the article, I'm closing this with a result of "not listed". To improve the article, somebody would have to explain what Durbin did about the biggest issue for any healthy young man in the Vietnam War -- the draft. Apparently he did not serve, and he would have had exposure before the lottery came in, and he got a B.S. in foreign service, so it would be natural for a reader to wonder why he didn't serve in Vietnam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.49.27.38 (talk) 22:43, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
