It might be worth mentioning that in the modern-day sketch comedy "That Mitchell & Webb Look", one of the recurring sketches is an obvious parody/nod to Dick Barton. The sequences revolving around "The Surprising Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken Caesar" are not only voiced in the style of Dick Barton, cliffhanger endings and all, but Sir Digby himself frequently hums a slightly slurred and drunken version of "Devil's Galop".
