Citations? Expansion?
[edit]It's hard to cite something this old. Plus, the idea of Drupad (and its manifestations) have radically changed over the centuries.
I still think we could expand this article. Gautam Discuss 19:30, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

A.D. :)
I'm gonna do a serious cleanup of this page one of these days. Any suggestions from anyone before I do? WildlifeAnalysis 09:24, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
How about Bengali dhrupad, and Kali Kirtan? Swami Vivekananda was proficient in this genre, and composed a hymn in Dhrupad that is still sung today. Devadaru (talk) 13:24, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
I suggest that the picture captioned 'A dhrupad concert' be changed. From the picture alone, it's impossible to understand whether the performer is singing dhrupads; however, traditional dhrupad singers almost never use the tabla or the harmonium, the pakhawaj providing the usual accompaniment. There are some instances of the sarangi being used. and, of late, some singers have used the harmonium in dhrupad performances, but this is not representative of the way in which dhrupad is sung. I'd suggest an image that figures a pakhawaj purely in order to give a better idea of the distinctive nature of dhrupad within Indian classical music. (Somnathbasu (talk) 17:02, 1 August 2009 (UTC))
