Devilskin is a well known band in New Zealand. Other well-known bands, such as Shihad, have wikipedia pages, so why not Devilskin?

They are popular enough that their album went straight to No.1 NZ album the week that it went on sale, and remained in the top position for 4 consecutive weeks, and remained in positions 2 and 3 for several more weeks. Their tour of NZ and parts of Australia consisted of almost entirely sold out shows, illustrating that the band is of high importance to the NZ music scene.

Many other NZ artists, such as Lorde, Crowded House, Minuit have wikipedia pages, so there is no reason that Devilskin should not have one as well!

The issue was not that the band is from New Zealand, but that I initially thought that there was no indication of notability or significance; I think I was confused by the lack of citations(there were links but this was not written as a citation). Since it was #1 in New Zealand (one of the notability criteria) I have removed the speedy tag, but I might suggest better listing of sources. 331dot (talk) 12:27, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
