[edit]Isn't the title of this page wrong? I've always seen this tune listed as "The Devil's Galop" as opposed to "Gallop". It would certainly make sense, as the piece is a galop.(Sarahcc (talk) 13:52, 2 December 2008 (UTC))
- No. The page is correctly named. Nunquam Dormio (talk) 16:46, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid the page is not correctly named. It's definitely "Devil's Galop" as a quick search on Google, any music selling site, the BBC or even Wikipedia's own Dick Barton page will attest to. It's also printed as "galop" on all CDs and records I've seen it used on (Various British Light Classics compilations, and of course Dick Barton recordings). I'll update to reflect this when I have time. Sarahcc (talk) 13:09, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- I concur. I had a recording of this as a child; on the sleeve there was a gap between the "gal" and the "op", where the publishers had hastily removed the second "l" just before going to print! --Mattmm (talk) 06:23, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
