Untitled

[edit]

The movie takes place in 1978! Not in 1973. The song "Detroit Rock City" came out around 1975/76. I changed that.

The 'Highway To Hell' song as mentioned in the motion soundtrack list is not performed by AC/DC, but by Marilyn Manson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.159.100.225 (talk) 09:35, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Detroit rock city ver1.jpg

[edit]

Image:Detroit rock city ver1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Special Features

[edit]

The Region 1 Special Features are not complete in this section.

Many of the items listed as being in Region 2 are also on Region 1. And there is no commentary with Gene Simmons alone. The actual commentaries are Adam Rifkin on one, and select members of the cast on anotehr. The "commentary" provided by KISS was really a bunch of ohone interviews with the band members and a cast member or two set against the movie, so nothing there really counts as a commentary proper.

Anyone want to clean this up? 209.254.200.110 (talk) 23:21, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Manson's version of the song only plays in the credits. In the movie itself, the song, as performed by AC/DC, plays while Jam's mother is dragging him to church in Detroit. 209.254.200.110 (talk) 16:12, 10 January 2012 (UTC) [reply]

Plot Clean up

[edit]

I re did the plot summary to clarify what happend, and fix some incorrect information. At this point now it can be better summerized but bear in mind that certainly plot deviced do need to stay in place to make it coherent. So feel free to trim it up and discuss in this thread BlackScreaminMachine (talk) 17:05, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Filming Locations

[edit]

It's been many years since I saw this film but I seem to remember that the concert scene was filmed at Exhibition Stadium (possibly one of the last things ever done before they tore the place down). Can anyone confirm? I know the source (IMDB) says it was Cops Coliseum but I think that's incorrect. kev. (talk) 22:09, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
