Flotilla Leaders

- The article is definitely US-centric; because, like destroyer escorts, few other nations followed USN naming conventions for this type of ship. Flotilla leaders, which have a separate article, were built in the dreadnought era as destroyers enlarged to include quarters and offices for a flotilla command staff in coastal European seas. Destroyer leaders were built after the dreadnought era as destroyers enlarged for improved seakeeping and endurance to accompany fast carrier task forces.Thewellman (talk) 18:14, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
