Tri-Chording
I removed the reference to tri-chording from the navigation section. I could not incorporate it without detracting from the rest of the section. I may suggest adding it with information about it originally being a bug. Here's a link for a citation: Into Cerberon FAQ. Xe7al (talk) 14:09, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Descent Invitational Ladder
I removed the reference to the ladder from the multiplayer section. It wasn't built into the game and the way it was written sounded like material you would find on a fan site instead. Feel free to re-incorporate it if you can keep it objective and relevant. Xe7al (talk) 14:43, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Broken Info Box Fix
I managed to get the information that was outside of the game's information box, which was written meant to be inside there. --98.194.29.36 (talk) 08:50, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
Citation Needed But Sources Gone
The line, "Around that time, Volition also began work on Descent 4, but development was canceled in 2000, owing mostly to disappointing sales of Descent 3," needs a citation. The only problem is it is impossible to find the interview that stated this. Another one of the Descent pages on Wikipedia cites the interview but the links are no longer hosted (since the original source and Planet Descent are both gone). If anyone can find either the interview or an alternative source, please don't hesitate to post it. Xe7al (talk) 23:30, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Assessment comments
These have been moved here from a subpage as part of a cleanup process. See Wikipedia:Discontinuation of comments subpages.
This article does not look very good since there are lot of sections unreferenced and sourcing problems throughout with OR included. JJ98 (Talk) 16:41, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Various cross-article issues
This article needs work. I propose the following changes:
- Removal of all subsections in the Gameplay and Releases sections (save for Single and Multi-Player), to match the Descent II and Descent 3 articles. Those might need updating as well, e.g. referencing the "Dual Jewel" release of Descent 3 in a new Release section.
- Remarking on Descent's notability in the games industry in the header.
- Grouping the Related Games into a Legacy section which would also discuss the Descent community, like in the article Doom (video game).
- Move Wii Homebrew Port into Third-Party Development. Also discuss source ports in this section. Descent II's article will need to be updated for this as well.

Comparison with Forsaken
I can't understand why from given source there was written this statement: "Forsaken had similar graphics to Descent, and almost identical gameplay". It is quite misleading, especially about graphics. Review mentions that graphics is "stunning" in forsaken and tells nothing about its similarity to descent (I played both games and they doesn't look similar at all in my opinion). I can't even tell that gameplay is "almost identical" (once again review doesn't mention that) but it is similar so it might be correct at some angles. Vezhlys (talk) 21:33, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
- I've only moved GameSpot review source at Forsaken. JJ98 (Talk) 22:36, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
External links modified
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Descent (video game). Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
