Tortured English according to GAN?

[edit]

The article lead currently has:

"All sites where fossils of Dermotherium have been found probably developed in forested environments and the fossil species probably were forest dwellers like living colugos, ..."

The sites developed in forested environments? The sites?

Back in 2011 the original author started with

"All fossil sites where Dermotherium has been found probably had forested paleoenvironments and Dermotherium was likely an obligate forest dweller like living colugos, ..."

which actually makes sense.

But this change was made shortly after article start with edit summary "fixes per GAN". Surely they did not ask for the text to be tortured so? Shenme (talk) 05:01, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
