Date of birth?
[edit]If he's an elected politician, his date and place of birth must be in the public domain. Valetude (talk) 01:05, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
- He's no longer an elected politician. But why do you think this would put his date and place of birth in the public domain? The only possible source I can imagine would be the nomination papers and notices for the elections, which, as far as I'm aware, require name, address, party affiliation, nominators and supporters, agent, but not birth details. Emeraude (talk) 12:31, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
- It's something people often want to know. Certainly in Scotland, they demand to know which side of the Tweed you were born. I just thought it would have been documented automatically. Certainly a Wiki profile looks strange without it. Valetude (talk) 17:43, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
- (PS) There must be a minimum age to stand for Parliament. Valetude (talk) 00:55, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Well, yes, there is. It's 21. But that would only allow you to say that Beackon is over 21, or was over 21 when he stood for Parliament. Which he didn't, anyway. Emeraude (talk) 14:50, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
