Uses past tense, which is not accurate, because new episodes of "Der Alte" are still being made. -- June 17 2006.

The current main character has been Leo Kress, not Erwin Köster, for almost a decade. I've always found Kress's most prominent characteristic his tendency to start mumbling incomprehensibly when talking to his subordinates. JIP | Talk 19:13, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if the English-language title "The Old Fox" has actually been used in some country? Hiski (talk) 19:51, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. It actually is, even here in little Denmark. I've had enthusiastic discussions about which Kommisar was best at university. I'm going to remove your tag. Peter Lund, 82.143.195.118 (talk) 07:51, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seasons?

[edit]

The seasons weren't in any wiki article which I checked, but IMDB has them as 46. I don't know if it is right, but there it is. 85.76.44.149 (talk) 04:18, 30 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No reason for doubt. In hunting, sports, and entertainment, there is little respect for one or four seasons per year, andI seem to recall Yank TV seasons that treat a year as having a two seasons, plus a holiday break and a mid-year shooting or production period far longer than any of tne astronomical or weather seasons. in fact, not many of us are bothered by the overlapping or mutually inconsistent astronomical and other species of seasons. ... I seem to recall Paul advising to ”sin boldly”, and no ones soul hangs in the balance when any two unrelated seasons overlap or otherwise conflict. And “it’s the time of the see-hee-zun for luh-huh-vin‘ ...“.
