The Boutrous-Ghali connection is referenced to a blog about kibbutz life. References are a great idea, but this makes it seem even more like a crazy rumor.--Zachbe (talk) 07:36, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy of summary

[edit]

Wouldn't it be more accurate, and less POV, to say that British officers out hunting for sport inadvertently shot a pigeon which had been raised by villagers? The article does not say what happened to the majority of the officers, or how many there were, but implied that they were murdered because of the death of a pigeon. Is there any independent confirmation that the one villager was killed by soldiers at the camp? That seems the least likely part of the story - in fact like something out of The Four Feathers.Royalcourtier (talk) 00:04, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
