Fastest?
[edit]I remember being in Seattle and going to a concert at which Dennis Agajanian was introduced as the country's or world's fastest guitarist. (I kinda doubted it then; but I wasn't a music expert.) The concert was held at what was called Memorial Stadium at the Seattle Center, I think. This may have been put on by what was then called Maranatha Concerts. I wonder if there was a notable publication that called him the fastest.... I looked. Results follow. - I asked C4.0 a question about this twice, and it said:
- "Dennis Agajanian has indeed been referred to as one of the fastest guitar players, specifically noted for his flatpicking skills. Various sources, including his official website and a profile on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, describe him as "the world’s fastest flatpicking guitar player." This recognition highlights his exceptional speed and skill in playing bluegrass and Gospel music.
- Agajanian has performed at numerous high-profile events and alongside well-known artists such as Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, and Ricky Skaggs. He has also been a regular performer at Billy Graham's crusades and festivals around the world, further cementing his reputation as an outstanding guitarist.
- For more information, you can refer to his official website and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association profile (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association) (Dennis Agajanian Min) (Wikipedia) (Record Courier)."
- And:
- "Dennis Agajanian has often been referred to as the world’s fastest flatpicking guitarist. This title has been mentioned in several sources, including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which has featured him extensively in their events and publications. Agajanian's exceptional speed and skill on the guitar have earned him this reputation within the music and evangelism communities (Dennis Agajanian Min) (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association).
- Additionally, Agajanian's biography and achievements are well-documented, highlighting his collaborations with notable artists and his long-standing involvement in Christian music and evangelism. He has received numerous awards for his musicianship and contributions to Christian music (Christian Music Archive)."

- I kept asking for other sources:
- "The Visalia Times-Delta also described him as the fastest flatpicking guitarist...". And,
- "Agajanian's profile on NewReleaseToday mentions his inclusion in the "Guinness Book of World Records" as the fastest flat picker...". Interesting if true.
