Denise or Deniece?
[edit]Just been shown on The Voice as spelt Deniece not Denise. Anyone know which one is right? Have the BBC just ballsed up? 90.216.117.151 (talk) 19:10, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- It's a confusing issue as she's used both spellings. Denise is how she was born, but when Five Star formed in '83 she changed the spelling to Deniece (apparently in tribute to Deniece Williams), but when the group left RCA in 1989 she reverted back to the original spelling (as the credits on later albums and appearances testify). Judging by her Voice appearance and her Facebook fan page she's gone back to using the other spelling. Crisso (talk) 19:52, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- Now she's officially gone back to Denise. Crisso (talk) 05:49, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
Place of birth
[edit]Romford is widely given as her birthplace, however the birth index shows her birth was registered in the Islington district of London: http://www2.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/information.pl?r=234202701&d=bmd_1402349149. Crisso (talk) 23:19, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Denise Pearson
[edit]Can so update her Wikipedia page like all the other singers. Stacyolds1972 (talk) 03:21, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
