millionaire when he met Margaret?

Is this true? He sold the family business for £500,000 in 1965 and had to share even this with his mother and other relatives. Where would his million in 1949 have come from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.173.223.62 (talk) 12:36, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Political party?

The Personal Details section lists the subject's political party as "Conservative." He wasn't a member of the British parliament, and there is no other reference to his membership of the Tory party, so in what sense was his political party Conservative?Attipus (talk) 11:01, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Agreed. I removed it.
But there's a broader problem: Why does he have {{Infobox Officeholder}}? Is "Spouse of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom" an elected office, or was he appointed? bobrayner (talk) 02:41, 4 June 2014 (UTC)

He met Margaret Roberts when she was the candidate and he a local activist at Dartford in 1950, and I should think it's highly likely he remained a paid-up Conservative Party member. I suppose we'd need a source though.Paulturtle (talk) 20:48, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
