Cricket (conflicting references)
[edit]The claim "represented New Zealand at international level" comes from the Governor-General biography. The profile on cricinfo shows he represented Cambridge University and Wellington at First Class level, but no evidence that he ever represented New Zealand. Cricinfo, which has extensive archives of international cricket matches, has to be considered a more authoritative reference for this point. Editing article accordingly. --Zaqrfv (talk) 02:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Scion of the ancient Lancashire family
[edit]Not clear how this is substantiated. The genealogy link provided does not mention Denis or his patrilineal ancestor who moved to NZ. He is the descendent of Henry Blundell, publisher of the Evening Post, who is cited as being born in Dublin with no mention of ancestry.
