[edit]"However, their struggle had denied the Soviet High Command numerous units at a critical moment, units that would have otherwise been used elsewhere." If possible to quote this? Stopping german army there is less critical than at another place? I am a bit confused, if possible to get clarification on this matter? "Used elsewhere" to do what? If it is fighting Germans than I fail to see the point of this quote. Sincerely appreciate you looking into this.
MKb 42
[edit]The deployment of the Mkb42 in this battle is highly disputed, and at the very least should be cited with a source. Production and testing records seem to suggest that it was tested in late 1942, and could not have been part of this battle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.202.195.199 (talk) 23:10, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

contradictory casualties
[edit]"64,000 of whom were either killed, wounded or too sick for service" contradicts the figures at the start of the section by a factor of five. ϢereSpielChequers 05:29, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
In fact, hows it possible that according to the source provided, soviet losses for the entire front during that time were 272 thousand but according to someone who wrote an article entirely and exclusively from the point of view of the Axis, the soviets lost more men in a single pocket operation than they lost in the entire western front on the same period?
Is Wikipedia a place that checks their sources, or do people deliberatly search for non-english works in the hopes that no one bothers to question their numbers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.62.119.217 (talk) 15:57, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
