2016 Census Data
[edit]Hello,
I've added the census data provided by Statistics Canada from 2016. The main issues, as noted in my edit note, is that Canada's Census has generalized many smaller incorporation and unincorporated areas into numeric zones. While this doesn't present a huge problem, it does mean granularity is lost in definite population numbers compared to the 1960s report (which I'm not even sure lists Demmitt in its records, unless Demmitt, as a hamlet, underwent a different name during the 60s censuses)
I've tried my best to denote this change, give a warning that the population data reflects a generalized area, as well as provide a Statistics Canada-defined map of the generalized zone to avoid any misconstructions of data reflected on the page.
I am open to ideas on how to fix this, but in regard to recent data, it seems it will get a lot harder for specifics on small hamlets and unincorporated areas! ChemicalBear (talk) 04:26, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
