Not Currently Conservative
[edit]According to a letter published in today's Shropshire Star newspaper (which circulates in Mid Wales as well as Shropshire, England), Williams had publicly declared support for the United Kingdom Independence Party due to dissatisfaction with David Cameron as Prime Minister and the Conservative Party's election proposals to extend tax powers to the Welsh Assembly. In light of this I have rephrased the description of him in the introductory paragraph to indicate he is a "British former Conservative Party politician'", and mentioned his support for UKIP with the letter as citation. This is the first I have heard of his stance in this election (I do not live in his former constituency), wonder if other users could elaborate on his activity. It will remain to be seen if his positional change will remain after polling day this week.Cloptonson (talk) 19:32, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
