Hello fellow wikipedians User:Love of Corey (author of this redirect) and User:I dream of horses (She posted an initial welcome on my talk page, and she wikified and improved the article on ‎Leondios G. Kostrikis) and others!

I intend to change this redirect DeltacronSARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant to a redirect Deltacron‎Leondios G. Kostrikis#In the media: Sorry, i think that the current redirect does not really answer the questions of readers who are looking for "Deltacron". I am a little less sure that my proposal gives a better answer. But i do not know much about your en Wikipedia guidelines, policies and common practices concerning redirect pages, hence i am not sure about my suggestion. The major cause for my hesitation is this: The intended redirect would be a redirect that leads from a question about a thing to a biography article. --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 19:32, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, committing this suggested change. If the recent trend in popularity corresponds to new developments in the matter, this should have its own page soon anyways. TZubiri (talk) 10:18, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The information on that page doesn't seem to be particularly useful as it seems to refer to a lab mistake rather than the current variant that seems to have been confirmed and is currently being talked about in the media. That said, I don't have a recommended alternative since the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant article doesn't mention the words "Deltacron" or "recombinant". I, for one, came looking to see whether "Deltacron" and "BA.2" were the same thing and, unfortunately, I was unable to find that information here (from what I've been able to glean elsewhere, though, they are not). Perhaps it's still too new for there to be enough verified information to be included in Wikipedia? Though it appears to have been discovered shortly after BA.2, and there's quite a lot of information about that. StarkRG (talk) 02:03, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
