NPOV Dispute, Accuracy Dispute
The current page reads like a marketing piece, rather than an objective summary of the organization. Large chunks of the text are taken directly from the official Delancey Street Foundation's website/PR pages.
In particular, lines like "In December 1972, Maher met Dr. Mimi Silbert, a criminologist. Mimi and John fell in love", "Maher became friends with one of San Francisco's renown artists, Dugald Stermer (Art director for a muck raking periodical, Ramparts Magazine. Rolling Stone magazine borrowed Dugald's design for the first issues of their publication", "John and Cesar were the same guys in separate bodies" (stated as a fact, not as quotes) stand out as being something wholly inappropriate for a wiki article.
The history section, the longest section of the article, contains no sources or references until the tenth paragraph (note all the above quotes are from that section and therefore wholly unsourced). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.145.249.70 (talk) 19:26, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- I removed the NPOV and accuracy dispute tags after editing the article.
- I agree with the above assessment, and believe I have sufficiently addressed the problems raised, by restructuring the article, copyediting and rewriting, factchecking, adding new citations, and adding new material.
- The article still needs significant content improvement, but I think it is now neutral in tone, and reasonably well-referenced. --Tsavage (talk) 22:02, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
