Del Valle, California → Del Valle, California (settlement) – We need the new name to avoid confusion with Lake Del Valle and Del Valle Regional Park, which are both in California. --Comment by Selfie City (talk about my contributions) 18:00, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: The current title complies with the WP:USPLACE naming convention for settlements within the United States. Any possible confusion can be clarified by the hatnote message template I just added to the page.[1] This is similar to what is done on the Mount Shasta vs. Mount Shasta, California pages, and the Big Bear Lake vs. Big Bear Lake, California articles. Is this actually a place?

We have this listed as a notable geographical location but...there's nothing there. The family and the ranchos are obviously notable. jengod (talk) 07:42, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
