Mortuary affairs
[edit]I know a former commissary officer who served in Italy, who said commissaries overseas also functioned as emergency mortuaries and the one in charge as a mortuary affairs officer, because they were the ones with the freezer. If anyone is interested in adding it to this article, see Mortuary Affairs and then use a search engine for military commissary +mortuary. --Pawyilee (talk) 09:47, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Updates on operations
[edit]Some interesting information on operations is available from a 2018 interview with Rear Adm. Robert Bianchi, SC, USN (Ret.), DeCA Interim Director and Chief Executive Officer: "DeCA Executive Interview: Reach Out, Communicate, Improve, Rebuild: Foot Traffic, Sales, and the Shopping Experience" (PDF). EXCHANGE and COMMISSARY NEWS.
I'm not sure the lede in the article is still accurate.
I'd prefer not to edit the article as my employer is also mentioned. Nemo 18:20, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
