[edit]While this article is generally easy to understand and well-written, the citations are almost entirely primary sources (contemporary newspapers). See WP:NOR, WP:PSTS, and WP:PRIMARY. More secondary sources are needed to support the article's conclusions for this page to meet the "no original research" standard. ETA: Unfortunately I lack the expertise to add the necessary sources; I came to this page because I was completely unfamiliar with Defenders Day. EaroftheBat (talk) 14:35, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
