Citing Numbers on U.S. Debt
[edit]Using credible sources
[edit]Regarding Eyreland's (talk) edits, the $13 trillion figure is provided by the U.S. Treasury Department (http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/BPDLogin?application=np) and is cited by a number of news sources including ABC News, Bloomberg, CBS News, and FOX News, among others.
I am having trouble finding credible sources for both the $55 trillion claim and the "US governmental debt as measured at the level of one person" chart. Could you please point out the sources you used?
Arguments regarding the total financial liability of the U.S. government (as opposed to the total debt) seem more appropriate for the United States public debt page and don't seem relevant to the Defeat The Debt page itself.
