as re; Citation 1 from WSJ is invalid
[edit]This story contains nothing concerning Ms. Clemmons. It does however contain the quote, "Officer Clemmons, the first African-American character to make recurring appearances in a children’s TV series."
As Ms. Clemmons was not a memmber of the Capt. Kangaroo cast I'm inclined to edit the citation.
