Plot needs, well, a plot
[edit]I actually remember seeing this movie on TV back then, and I would not even summarize the film such as this is. This could be any film, really, except for the two basic facts presented. The rest is glib filler (the character finds out something he doesn't know, etc) and appears to be trying to avoid "spoilers" which isn't the point of the plot sections of any movie on Wikipedia.
The crucial discovery is the memory that an "American" platoon leader asked the character if he had "made all this", which was the clue (because "to do" or "to make" are different verbs in English, but the same in most European languages including German) that it was actually a subversive German special forces unit disguised to appear as Americans who had then shot him with a submachine gun. THIS needs to appear in the plot. Deliusfan (talk) 02:27, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
