November 2009

[edit]

No bias evident in article. Only factual evidence with proper third-party (i.e. WSJ and Billboard) citations are included, such as the projects that Decon has worked on; "Decon created the online video campaign for Shakira's single "She Wolf" and signed with Red Bull to handle marketing on the 2009 BC break-dancing competition" is not a biased statement, and is cited properly. All of the artists and companies referred to had Wikipedia pages prior to the creation of the "Decon Media, Inc." article, and it is therefore not an obscure or irrelevant page.

Please discuss COI, relevance, and notability in light of this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.39.210.233 (talkcontribs) 21:32, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edited article to delete any references to Decon's Online Store or their blog. Added additional 3rd-party citations for discography, Jason Goldwatch's videos, and Netflix ad campaign. Not self-promotion; this is a legitimate record label that represents artists that already have their own Wiki pages and companies that are well-known. Please see other examples of articles for record labels at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downtown_Records (Downtown Records), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decaydance (Decaydance), and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GOOD_Music (GOOD Music). Decon has already been referenced on the Sony RED Distribution article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RED_Distribution). The "Decon Records" article, which was created by a third-party unrelated to Decon, was merged with this page, and had been active for a period of time before the creation of "Decon Media, Inc." with no flags. I would be happy to edit the page to remove any further bias that seems apparent, yet the notability of this article seems to be established.

NPOV

[edit]

"Decon continues to innovate as a leader in the music space" seriously, come on now... This article needs a total re-write for WP:NPOV compliance. Pol430 talk to me 22:51, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
